Higher comfort-factor, lower energy costs
With the Internorm energy-saving calculator you can quickly and easily work out how much you would save on heating bills if you decided to exchange your old windows for one of the new Internorm windows systems. Just follow these instructions:
- All fields with a red border can be completed individually and the ones with grey borders will be completed automatically with the corresponding values. The new calculation will appear after the value has been entered, but only after you have left that field by clicking on the next field or outside the field on the web page. Alternatively, click on the 'new calculation' button.
- If you know the heat insulation value of your windows (Uw value: the lower the value, the better the insulation), click on the 'enter Uw value manually' button and enter the value.
- Existing glazing: Choose single or double glazing.
- New Internorm window system: Choose from uPVC windows DIMENSION + and DIMENSION 4 or wood/aluminium windows VARION, VARION4, EDITION and EDITION 4. You can find more information about these systems in the menu under WINDOWS. You can also choose the glazing system you prefer which has particular heat insulation properties. You can also choose between aluminium and stainless steel glazing spacers. The insulation of the window edges is improved by using stainless steel, because it is a poor conductor of heat. There is also less condensation, less damage to the fabric and less mould build-up.
The results of this calculation are only a guideline to values. As well as the values entered there are numerous other factors such as the direction the windows are facing (south, north, etc.) the façade (complete heat insulation etc.), the geographical location and so on. For a definitive calculation of your likely heating costs please consult your local specialist Internorm partner.
